The role open at the Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort and Spa is that of a part-time Cocktail Server. This position involves working approximately three to four shifts per week, primarily in the evenings starting at 4 pm. As a Cocktail Server, the individual will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service with a focus on serving beverages and food to the resort’s valued guests. The Cocktail Server will be essential in upholding the resort’s high standards of service by efficiently responding to guest requests, accurately taking and delivering orders, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction throughout the meal service. This role requires thorough knowledge of the menu items and promotional specials, attention to detail in order entry, and strict adherence to federal, state, local, and company alcohol service regulations. The Cocktail Server must also maintain a well-stocked serving station to ensure prompt and seamless service.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum prior experience as a server or in a hospitality role preferred
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to work evening shifts starting at 4 pm
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Flexible availability to work 3-4 shifts weekly

Job Duties

  • Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials
  • Take guest beverage and/or food orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
  • Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
  • Replenish beverages and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
  • Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times
