This opportunity is with TradeWinds Island Resorts, a leading tropical beachfront destination ideally located on the beautiful white sands of St. Pete Beach. The Beverage/Cocktail Server role at TradeWinds Island Resort is a part-time hourly position focused on delivering exceptional guest service by providing timely and courteous beverage service. This role requires attentiveness, friendliness, and professionalism to ensure guest satisfaction remains the top priority. The Beverage Server is responsible for promoting specials and upselling beverages while adhering strictly to state liquor laws and resort standards. This role includes welcoming guests, taking and processing drink orders, assisting bartenders during busy periods, maintaining cleanliness of the lounge area, and processing payments through credit cards or room charges. The server is expected to participate fully in opening and closing procedures, including side work and cash handling responsibilities. Employees in this position must exhibit strong communication skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize, and a service-oriented mindset to foster a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests. Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and employees
  • Complete opening and closing checklist according to standards
  • Welcome guests and take their drink orders, relay order to bartender, process order, deliver order to guest and receive payment
  • Have knowledge of garnishes for each drink
  • Process credit card and room charges
  • Clear and clean tables when guests leave and return glasses to be washed
  • Keep lounge area clean and free from debris at all times
  • Follow all cash handling policies and prepare closing report for night audit
  • Perform all side work duties according to schedule
  • Follow state liquor laws
  • Be familiar with computer system
  • Assist bartenders with drink preparation when needed
  • Assist bartender with hors d'oeuvres tables for cocktail hour set up and breakdown
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Assume other duties as assigned
