Job Description

This position is for a Microbulk Route Driver based in Austin, TX, specifically supporting the N Lamar Bulk cryogenic logistics operations. The role entails operating Class B commercial vehicles equipped with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to deliver CO2 and related specialty gases to customers across a defined route that includes Austin, Waco, Killeen, Belton, Temple, Bastrop, Brady, and Mason. The schedule is a night shift running from Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 pm to 5:00 am, offering competitive pay starting at $26.00 per hour plus an annual safety bonus up to $2,000.

As a Microbulk Driver with ANC, the individual plays a critical role in the supply chain by safely transporting carbon dioxide and specialty gases in a timely and efficient manner. Drivers are expected to be highly safety-conscious and to comply fully with regulations regarding the handling of hazardous materials. The role involves responsibilities beyond just driving, including loading, unloading equipment, maintenance checks of vehicles and tanks, and engaging with customers to ensure satisfaction and operational success.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class B commercial driver’s license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
  • Minimum 1 year driving experience with Class A or B licenses within the last 4 years
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
  • Willingness to work night shifts and travel along the specified route
  • Physical ability to handle loading and unloading duties
  • Compliance with all DOT and company safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class B commercial driver’s license with current Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
  • Minimum of 1 year driving experience with Class A or B licenses within the last 4 years
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance
  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles in various weather and traffic conditions
  • Basic mechanical skills for routine equipment checks
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work night shift schedule Sunday through Thursday

Job Duties

  • Operate Class B commercial vehicle with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements safely and efficiently
  • Follow assigned routes covering Austin, Waco, Killeen, Belton, Temple, Bastrop, Brady, and Mason
  • Load, unload, and secure CO2 and specialty gas tanks and equipment
  • Perform routine safety and maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment
  • Maintain accurate delivery and service records
  • Communicate effectively with customers and dispatch to ensure service quality and resolution of issues
  • Comply with all federal, state, and company safety regulations regarding hazardous materials transport
