The company prides itself on its commitment to environmental stewardship, infrastructure resilience, and community flourishing. Atlas is not just an employer but a community-oriented organization that values the development of its employees and strives to foster an inclusive and supportive workplace culture. Their approach to projects integrates a sense of responsibility toward future generations and focuses on delivering excellent results at each stage of a project lifecycle.

The position offered is for a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician who will work on some of the most complex and transformational infrastructure and industrial projects in the West Texas region, including cities such as Abilene, Amarillo, Lubbock, Wichita Falls, and Vernon. This role is full-time and entry-level, providing candidates with the opportunity to join a highly skilled team specialized in geotechnical and materials engineering, construction materials testing, ICC special inspections, and construction inspections. This role involves hands-on work at construction sites, contributing directly to ensuring quality and compliance across advanced manufacturing, mission-critical, Department of Transportation (DOT), and large federal projects. Candidates will benefit from extensive training and ongoing professional development designed to cultivate leadership and technical expertise. The role requires frequent travel to various project sites primarily throughout West Texas, which may include overnight or weekend work depending on the project requirements.

The successful candidate will perform essential field testing and inspections, including soil density testing using nuclear density gauges and quality control testing of concrete. Responsibilities also include handling equipment, sample transportation, recording daily reports electronically, and supporting teammates and other departments as necessary. Safety is a paramount concern, and adherence to Atlas’s safety plans, radiation safety protocols, and HAZMAT regulations is mandatory. The role also encompasses participation in IBC Chapter 17 Special Inspections covering a range of materials such as reinforced concrete, soils, structural masonry, fireproofing, and welding.

Atlas values an employee-centric approach branded as the "A-Team Experience," which focuses on health and wellness by offering comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans; time off and family support through vacation, paid holidays, sick leave, and parental leave; robust retirement planning with 401(k) and company match; and various insurance options including life, AD&D, and disability coverage. The company emphasizes safety and provides personal protective equipment at no cost but also supports career growth with learning and development resources, internal and external certification opportunities, and a culture of inclusivity fostered by employee communities. Atlas prioritizes balance and flexibility while maintaining a strong workplace culture based on the values of life, heart, trust, and mastery. The company is committed to equal opportunity employment and a diverse workforce and does not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters without prior agreements.
