The company's mission, "We Put the World on Vacation," reflects its passion for delivering exceptional vacation experiences through a dedicated and talented workforce. As part of a global team, employees contribute to a thriving culture focused on inclusivity, support, and continuous learning. The company values hospitality at its core and encourages an environment where associates can celebrate achievements, collaborate across departments, and foster a sense of community both within and beyond the workplace.
The Marketing Manager role based in Gatlinburg represents a pivotal leadership position within the Travel + Leisure Co. structure. This role is responsible for the direct management of the Gatlinburg Marketing Team, overseeing all aspects from interviewing and hiring to training and motivating employees. The manager will assign work, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary actions, including conflict resolution and terminations when necessary. A key responsibility is maintaining marketing conversion rates in line with site marketing standards to ensure the company’s sales objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
This position requires the individual to resolve issues regarding tour statuses, bookings, coding, and other operational challenges while managing departmental supplies such as marketing collateral and uniforms. The manager will maintain detailed records including invitations and daily tour manifests for reference and compile comprehensive performance data on team members. Collaboration is essential; the manager must coordinate closely with in-house and front-line sales management to align tour availability with marketing efforts and make sure pertinent information is timely shared across marketing and concierge teams. Additionally, the role involves managing changes in marketing programs related to booking and gifting policies, submitting employee payroll punctually, and undertaking other related duties as needed.
Successful candidates must bring hands-on experience in timeshare sales and marketing, with a preference for individuals with at least two years in a management or supervisory role, or equivalent timeshare experience. The ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is critical, as customer service and sales support functions operate extensively across varying hours. Effective interaction with both customers and sales teams, strong attention to detail, multitasking capabilities, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of commission payroll, and the capacity to work independently while coordinating with multiple departments are also required.
Travel + Leisure Co. offers a comprehensive benefits package for associates working 30 or more hours per week, supporting both personal and professional growth. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, life and accident insurance, disability benefits, and paid time off along with parental leave and holidays where applicable. Additional perks include paid volunteer time, 401k with employer match, legal and identity theft protection plans, voluntary income protection, wellness programs, and an employee assistance program. This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team within a renowned company committed to putting the world on vacation and creating lasting memories for its employees and customers alike.
