Job Description
The Ritz-Carlton Dana Point, a luxurious hotel located in California, is part of the globally renowned Marriott International family of brands, known for its exceptional standards in luxury hospitality. This establishment prides itself on delivering exquisite guest experiences through an exquisite fusion of cultures, talents, and experiences contributed by its diverse team. At The Ritz-Carlton, every day is dedicated to setting the benchmark for outstanding luxury service, ensuring guests enjoy impeccable care and comfort. With over 100 award-winning hotels worldwide, this brand stands as a pinnacle of elegance and superior hospitality, continuously adapting to meet and exceed the exceptional expectations of its guests.
The role available at The Ritz-Carlton Dana Point is a full-time, non-management position within the Rooms and Guest Services Operations category. Offered at a rate of $28.85 per hour, this position emphasizes maintaining the highest standards of the company's Gold Standards by delivering service with kindness and attention daily. The role involves managing seat availability, guest service, safety, and well-being within the club lounge. Responsibilities include ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of the bar area and its furniture, preparing and serving hot, cold, and alcoholic beverages, restocking ice, glassware, and supplies, as well as anticipating and communicating replenishment needs promptly. The role also entails washing dishes and kitchen utensils as needed, completing opening and closing duties, requisitioning supplies from the storage area to the bar, and securing alcohol, beer, wine, refrigerators, cabinets, and storage areas.
Additionally, the team member must document relevant department information, anticipate extra food needs and communicate special requests to the kitchen, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management, and comply with all company policies and procedures. Maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality, greeting and recognizing all guests according to company standards, anticipating and fulfilling guest service needs, assisting guests with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation to guests are also crucial parts of the job. Communication skills are essential, including clear, professional verbal communication, precise preparation and review of written documents, and proper phone etiquette. Building and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting the team to achieve common goals are important to foster a collaborative environment.
This position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to move, lift, transport, push, pull, and position objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or throughout the entire workday. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by supervisors. The role offers an inclusive and diverse work environment, embracing the values of Marriott International, which actively promotes equal employment opportunity and nondiscrimination. Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent such as a General Educational Development (GED) certificate are encouraged to apply, as no prior related work experience or supervisory experience is required, nor are any licenses or certifications.
Joining The Ritz-Carlton Dana Point means becoming part of a prestigious brand committed to luxury, excellence, and creating memorable guest experiences. Employees are empowered to be creative, kind, and compassionate, contributing to the brand's success and their personal growth. The promise includes the opportunity to be proud of the work you perform and the team you work with, all within a supportive global network of Marriott International brands. This unique position offers not just a job but a career path where one can fulfill their purpose and grow into their best version, while providing the highest standards of hospitality in the luxury sector.
