This full-time, non-management substitute position with The Ritz-Carlton is integral to maintaining the impeccable guest experience synonymous with the brand. The role involves monitoring the Club Lounge for seating availability, service quality, guest safety, and overall wellbeing. The substitute will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and related tools, ensuring that patrons receive efficient and attentive service. Key responsibilities include preparing and serving hot, cold, and alcoholic beverages while managing stock levels of ice, glassware, and supplies. Anticipating and promptly communicating replenishment needs is essential, as is completing opening and closing duties for the lounge area.

Additional duties involve requisitioning necessary supplies and managing their transportation from storage to bar setup areas. The role requires securing alcoholic beverages and storage areas to maintain safety and compliance. Documenting pertinent operational information in department logbooks and forecasting meal requirements to communicate with kitchen staff are also essential functions. The position demands adherence to company policies, professional appearance, confidentiality, and protecting company assets. Exceptional guest service is emphasized through welcoming all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs, assisting guests with disabilities, and ensuring genuine appreciation is conveyed. Clear and professional communication, accurate documentation, and proper telephone etiquette are expected.

Physical demands include the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 25 pounds and to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during shifts. The substitute will also be required to report accidents and unsafe conditions promptly. Job Duties
