Job Description

This full-time substitute position within the Rooms and Guest Services Operations category offers an attractive hourly pay range of $33.30 to $44.40. The role is non-management and based onsite, emphasizing a hands-on approach to maintaining the high standards expected at The Ritz-Carlton. The primary responsibility of this role is to control the availability of seating, service quality, safety, and the well-being of guests in the club lounge. This includes maintaining cleanliness and good condition of the bar, bar furniture, tables, and other instruments. The individual will prepare and serve hot, cold, and alcoholic beverages, ensure the timely stocking of ice, glassware, and provisions, as well as anticipate replenishment needs and communicate accordingly.

Additional responsibilities include washing dishes and kitchen utensils when necessary, completing opening and closing tasks, requisitioning supplies from storage to the bar area, and securing liquors, beers, wines, refrigerators, cabinets, and storage areas. Accurate documentation in department records is essential, along with predicting extra food needs and conveying special requests to the kitchen. The role also requires reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management. Employees are expected to comply with all company policies and procedures, maintain a clean and professional appearance, uphold confidentiality, and protect company assets.

The position demands excellent guest interaction skills, including greeting guests according to company standards, anticipating and fulfilling service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Communication must be clear and professional, both in oral and written forms, including proper phone etiquette. Building and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting the team to achieve shared goals is vital. Employees must adhere to quality assurance standards and be physically capable of moving, lifting, transporting, pushing, dragging, and positioning objects weighing up to 25 pounds, as well as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
