Job Description
This establishment is a high-standard banquet and event facility, dedicated to providing exceptional hospitality services for a variety of occasions including weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations. Known for its elegant ambiance and professional service, the venue prides itself on maintaining an organized, clean, and welcoming environment where guests can enjoy memorable experiences. The team behind the banquet operations is highly trained and focused on delivering seamless event execution from setup to breakdown, ensuring every detail is attended to with precision and care. The banquet team culture emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, making this an excellent workplace for those passionate about the hospitality industry and event service.
The Banquet Server and Banquet Bartender role is a crucial position within this team. This hourly position offers a competitive flat rate of $20 per hour, making it attractive for those seeking steady hourly pay with the opportunity to engage with diverse groups of guests. Reporting directly to the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Server/Bartender assists in all phases of event preparation, execution, and cleanup. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down bars, tables, and other event equipment, as well as providing hospitable, professional service during events. This role demands a keen eye for detail to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas. The server/bartender will be instrumental in polishing and prepping glassware, china, and silverware based on each event's banquet event order (BEO), making sure the event space is impeccably prepared.
During events, the Banquet Server/Bartender must ensure that server stations are fully stocked and that the event space remains clean and organized by clearing tables, managing trash disposal, and quickly responding to spills or other issues. Providing attentive service to guests and maintaining a hospitable atmosphere is a core part of the role. Post-event duties include collecting linens, handling dirty and clean dishes properly, breaking down furniture, and restoring spaces to better-than-original condition.
This role also has important operational responsibilities such as assisting with monthly inventory management of banquet supplies including glassware, linens, chairs, and decor items. The Banquet Server/Bartender must be comfortable maintaining non-alcoholic beverage stocks such as Coca Cola bottles and juices, ensuring items are rotated properly. Physical demands are notable in this position: the role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a dynamic environment which may include hot, humid, and noisy conditions. This role suits individuals who are physically active, enjoy teamwork, and thrive in fast-paced service settings. Overall, this position offers a meaningful opportunity to develop hospitality skills and contribute directly to the success of various special events hosted at the facility.
