The Clinical Team Coordinator RN role at Geisinger is designed for registered nurses who are passionate about leading healthcare change and enhancing nursing practice. Job Requirements

  • Registered nurse licensure
  • Enrollment in Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Graduate from specialty training program in Nursing
  • Ability to work overnight shifts and cover every other weekend and holiday
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Experience in cardiac care preferred

Job Duties

  • Coordinates and supervises the delivery of nursing care on the assigned unit
  • Provides direct patient care along with direct supervision to assigned personnel
  • Conducts performance appraisals and monitors absenteeism
  • Orders supplies and manages scheduling for 24 hour staffing
  • Assists with addressing performance issues and initiates disciplinary processes as needed
  • Communicates patient care activities and operational information to staff
  • Participates in developing nursing policies and goals
  • Supports Magnet philosophies promoting a healthy work environment
  • Provides feedback and mentorship to staff
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manages resources efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Addresses patient and family concerns
  • Assists in patient-focused service rounds and incident follow-up
