The company operates with a profound sense of responsibility towards economic, social, and environmental progress, emphasizing diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity for all employees. Sodexo values its workforce by ensuring respect, fairness, and a platform where everyone’s ideas and voices are heard, making it a highly sought-after employer across multiple industries.

This specific opportunity is for a full-time Registered Dietitian position at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a prominent 425-bed Level I Trauma and Stroke Center located in Jamaica, New York. As one of the leading healthcare providers in Queens, the hospital serves a richly diverse urban population, providing cutting-edge acute inpatient care. The Registered Dietitian role is vital in delivering exceptional nutritional support to inpatients, directly impacting patient recovery, health outcomes, and overall hospital efficiency. The position welcomes both new and experienced dietitians, reflecting Sodexo’s inclusive approach towards professional growth and development.

The successful candidate will be integrated into a dynamic clinical team committed to excellence. This role requires fluency in the Nutrition Care Process, Nutrition Focused Physical Exam, and Malnutrition Identification to ensure that nutritional interventions are tailored to each patient’s unique needs. The dietitian will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians and nurses, to deliver comprehensive therapeutic nutrition care. Duties include providing nutritional assessments, educating healthcare staff, and engaging in hospital-wide initiatives to promote evidence-based practices.

In addition to the meaningful work, Sodexo offers significant professional support and benefits that enhance job satisfaction and career progression. Benefits include reimbursement for professional fees such as Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics dues and renewal of Commission on Dietetic Registration credentials. The organization supports continuing education through reimbursement of costs related to learning opportunities, as well as tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 annually, fostering continuous professional development.

Emphasizing work-life balance, employees enjoy three weeks of vacation, eight paid holidays, and three personal days annually, alongside competitive salary packages based on education, skills, and experience. Sodexo’s Clinical Career Ladder provides a clear pathway for career advancement within the company, motivating clinicians to pursue specialized skills and leadership positions.

Working rotating weekends and holidays is part of this role, ensuring comprehensive coverage across the hospital while supporting the diverse needs of the patient population. The environment nurtures leadership, collaboration, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Sodexo prides itself on creating a workplace where diversity and inclusion are core values, guaranteeing a respectful and supportive atmosphere for all employees.

Joining Sodexo at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center means becoming part of an organization that is dedicated not only to exceptional nutritional care but also to fostering community health and well-being through its integrated services.
