The Clinical Concierge - Medical Assistant role at LVPG-L Family Med ExpressCare - Airport Rd location is both vital and multifaceted, ideal for candidates who are passionate about enhancing patient experiences and supporting clinical operations. This part-time position operates primarily during the day shift with hours from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, including variable schedules that encompass weekend and holiday rotations. The role involves managing patient check-in and check-out processes, registering patient information accurately, verifying insurance eligibility, handling payments, processing referrals, and scheduling appointments efficiently. The Clinical Concierge maintains electronic medical records (EMR) with meticulous accuracy and ensures compliance with healthcare standards. In addition to clerical tasks, this position also requires performing essential patient measurements such as vital signs and assisting healthcare providers with collecting detailed patient histories and clinical information.

Preparation and maintenance of exam rooms, including sanitation and supply stocking, are important components of this role. The Clinical Concierge also collects and prepares laboratory specimens, administers medications and vaccinations within the scope of practice according to provider orders, and supports patient procedures. Follow-up communications post-discharge ensure continuity of care and patient satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • Specialized diploma as a medical assistant or completion of LVPG Medical Assistant Trainee course
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in EMR systems, word processing, and Excel

Job Qualifications

  • Certification as CCMA, CMA, CMAC, MAC, NCMA, NRCMA, or RMA upon hire preferred

Job Duties

  • Behaves in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust, comfort, understanding and relationships with consumers and secondary guests
  • Coordinate and perform patient check-in/check-out, ensuring accurate registration and information collection
  • Verify insurance eligibility, collect payments, and process referrals
  • Schedule appointments while optimizing clinic workflow
  • Handle patient inquiries
  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain all required logs including quality control logs and stat cart checks
  • Measure and collect patient data including temperature, pulse, oxygenation saturation, respirations, blood pressure, height, weight, and pediatric measurements
  • Assist providers with the collection of patient information including reason for visit, chief complaint, health history, allergies and current medications
  • Complete patient rooming process and implement standard operating procedures to expedite care and provide comfort
  • Identify patient risks and communicate them to the provider
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sanitation and supply stocking
  • Collect and prepare lab specimens and complete necessary requisitions
  • Administer medications and vaccinations per provider orders and protocols within scope of practice
  • Support patient procedures and assist with medical examinations
  • Complete follow-up phone calls to patients within two to three days post discharge
