The organization is committed to serving a diverse and often underserved patient population across all age groups. Employing over 300 compassionate and dedicated employees, Unity Care NW’s mission focuses on increasing the years of healthy life in the communities it serves by offering high-quality, accessible healthcare. As a valued community health resource, this organization upholds core values such as respect, integrity, accountability, collaboration, and innovation to ensure that patients and staff experience a supportive and ethical environment. These values form the foundation of Unity Care NW’s culture and guide all interactions and professional conduct within the organization.
The role of Clinic Receptionist at Unity Care NW is an integral part of the patient care experience. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere at the front desk, ensuring that every patient and visitor is greeted with professionalism and care upon their arrival. The Clinic Receptionist acts as the first point of contact for patients, playing a key role in the clinic’s overall efficiency and patient satisfaction. Operating within a fast-paced healthcare environment, the receptionist will manage patient check-ins, appointments, and related administrative tasks with accuracy and customer service excellence. This non-exempt, hourly role offers a competitive wage starting from $22.71 to $26.71 per hour, with potential to earn up to $30.66 per hour over time. Employees also receive a 10% Saturday shift differential. The typical workweek consists of 40 hours across five 8-hour days, including every Saturday, with Sundays and a dedicated weekday off. This schedule supports work-life balance while addressing the clinic’s operational needs.
The Clinic Receptionist contributes significantly to maintaining operational flow and supporting clinical staff by managing communications and administrative processes such as data entry, payment processing, and use of electronic clinical systems, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR). The position requires proficiency in computer skills, payment systems, Microsoft Word and Outlook, and strong typing speed and accuracy. Experience in customer service and familiarity with medical or dental office procedures are highly beneficial. Unity Care NW encourages applicants who have relevant experience or qualifications in healthcare settings, especially those with cultural competency and experience working with underserved populations, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
Unity Care NW offers a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting professional growth and employee well-being. Employees benefit from a comprehensive compensation package alongside generous benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match after eligibility; and multiple paid leave options. Additional voluntary benefits such as supplementary insurance plans, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, and unique organizational offerings like payroll loans and referral bonuses enhance the employee experience. Overall, this role offers a fulfilling opportunity to contribute to community health, develop valuable skills, and become part of a mission-driven healthcare organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and the broader community.
