This position requires responsible and professional delivery of food and foodservice products to various customers, ensuring timely arrivals and excellent product condition as the driver represents the face of the company to clients. The work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, with dispatch times between 3 AM and 5 AM, reflecting the early and essential nature of food distribution work. The CDL-B Driver is tasked with operating tractor trailers or straight trucks intrastate and interstate, including local, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight routes to deliver or unload food-related products safely and efficiently. The role also involves adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies to ensure safety and compliance during all deliveries. Drivers conduct thorough pre- and post-trip safety inspections, maintain accurate delivery paperwork, interact professionally with customers and vendors, and contribute as collaborative team members within their department and the larger organization. The position demands physical capability given the requirements to hand-lift product cases, utilize equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates, and maintain neat and orderly transportation equipment.
