The role of Driver, Dedicated Backhaul, is integral to PFG Customized Distribution’s operations. This position focuses on safely and efficiently driving a tractor-trailer (day cab or sleeper), tandem trailer, and/or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes. Drivers are tasked with picking up logistics loads and other food and non-food product deliveries, ensuring the timely arrival and proper condition of products. The drivers serve as the face of the company, building lasting relationships with customers through professionalism and reliability. Drivers ensure the timely pickup and accurate delivery of assigned loads, checking and completing all necessary load inspections and paperwork such as product counts, invoices, and quality checks. Effective communication with supervisors, customers, vendors, and coworkers is essential to address route, schedule changes, and load-related issues promptly. Drivers are required to perform other duties as assigned to best serve the company and maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate for this role holds a valid CDL-A license and meets all state licensing and certification requirements. Candidates must have at least six months of commercial driving experience, be at least 21 years of age, and possess a clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past three years.
