Job Description

Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group Company, stands as a prominent leader in the convenience retail distribution sector, boasting over $23 billion in revenue and operating nationwide across the U.S. and Canada. As part of the Fortune 150 companies, Core-Mark continues to expand its reach by offering fresh and broad-line solutions that empower not only its customers but also employees and communities. With a reputation built on reliability, innovation, and a commitment to service excellence, Core-Mark prides itself on being a trusted partner in the nation’s food distribution network.

This role centers around the critical function of foodservice delivery drivers within Core-Mark’s expansive logistics operations. The position offers competitive compensation, with a minimum weekly pay of $1384.62, contingent on meeting specified weekly requirements discussed during the interview process. Employment is full-time, with shift hours from Monday through Friday starting at 4:00 AM dispatch time. Drivers play a vital part in sustaining America's food supply chain by ensuring timely and safe delivery of food and related products to a diverse set of customers.

The delivery driver's responsibilities extend beyond transportation; they are the representatives of Core-Mark’s values and commitment to customer satisfaction. Operating tractor trailers or straight trucks, drivers undertake intrastate and interstate routes including local, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight, and drive and drop routes. They are responsible for adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, performing routine safety inspections, and maintaining the safety and security of the tractor, trailer, and freight.

The role requires strong customer interaction skills as drivers serve as ambassadors of the company during deliveries. Accuracy in load verification, product handling, paperwork completion, and safe unloading processes are crucial to maintain operational integrity. The position also demands proficiency in handling physical demands such as lifting product cases ranging roughly from 10 to 90 pounds, sometimes utilizing equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates.

Core-Mark offers a safe, inclusive, and rewarding work environment that recognizes employees’ contributions through programs such as Day 1 Health & Wellness Benefits, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, 401(k) Employer Matching, Education Assistance, Paid Time Off, and more. This role provides significant growth opportunities within the company, ensuring drivers are supported as essential contributors to one of America’s most vital distribution systems. The company’s culture promotes respect, recognition, and teamwork, culminating in a workplace where employees feel valued and motivated to deliver excellence every day.
