Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • insurable to operate vehicle
  • ability to read and speak English
  • minimum one year tractor trailer driving experience preferred
  • knowledge of safe lifting and delivery practices
  • understanding of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 350 pounds with hand carts
  • ability to climb in and out of tractor and trailer
  • ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • one year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
  • valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • ability to read, write, and communicate in English sufficiently
  • knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
  • skill in long-distance driving under various conditions

Job Duties

  • Safely transport product from the warehouse to customer locations according to assigned route
  • unload product from trailer by hand or hand cart at ramps, stairs, or docks
  • place product in designated storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards
  • pick up, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns, transporting products back to warehouse
  • complete all paperwork including DOT logs, inspections, maintenance reports, and invoices accurately and timely
  • ensure food safety protocols are met including temperature maintenance, product inspection, and sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer
  • maintain equipment and personal protective gear
  • develop and maintain good customer relationships through courteous service
  • communicate with management about route deviations, trailer issues, and customer or product concerns
  • safely transport backhauls and line hauls and ensure timely deliveries
  • work assigned schedules including overtime, weekends, holidays, and variable start times
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
