Core-Mark is seeking dedicated Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers to join their team. This role plays a vital part in the country’s food supply chain by ensuring timely and safe delivery of products to customers while representing the company with professionalism. Drivers will be responsible for operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks to deliver and unload food and related goods in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The position offers a schedule from Tuesday to Saturday with AM and PM shift options, and competitive pay up to $95,000 per year. Drivers will return home daily, providing strong work-life balance.
The delivery drivers at Core-Mark take on essential responsibilities such as conducting pre and post-trip inspections, securing loads, verifying delivery invoices, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires interaction with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a polite and professional manner, helping to build lasting customer relationships. Safety is paramount, with adherence to DOT and company safety policies required at all times. Drivers are expected to handle physical tasks including hand-lifting and using equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates to transport merchandise typically weighing between 10 to 90 pounds. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged or equivalent experience
- valid CDL-A license
- at least 21 years of age
- minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience
- meet state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- possess or able to obtain valid current DOT health card
- able to hand-lift and use equipment like two-wheeler and lift gate to move product cases usually ranging from 10 to 90 pounds
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- performs safety checks including pre and post-trip inspections of tractor truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- reports all safety issues and repairs required
- follows DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
- inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- performs count checks of items and verifies customer invoices
- completes required paperwork accurately and legibly
- moves tractor to loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
- drives to and delivers customer orders according to route schedule
- unloads products and transports items to customer storage areas
- performs damage control checks and contacts supervisor for order removals
- verifies delivery with customer and obtains signatures
- collects payments where required
- secures tractor trailer and freight appropriately
- unloads damaged goods and completes necessary paperwork
- completes daily hour of service records and logs compliance
- performs housekeeping duties in tractor and loading area
- performs other related duties as assigned
