The company offers a comprehensive range of products, programs, and solutions designed to support convenience operators across the United States and Canada. With a commitment to innovation and service excellence, Core-Mark continually grows to meet the dynamic needs of the retail market, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of food and related products.
The role of the Hourly CDL-A Driver at Core-Mark plays a vital part in the food supply chain, ensuring that food and food service products are delivered safely, on time, and in excellent condition. This position requires driving tractor trailers or straight trucks on varying routes that include local intrastate, interstate, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight deliveries. Drivers not only handle transportation responsibilities but also serve as ambassadors of the company, cultivating lasting relationships with customers. They are responsible for maintaining compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, performing safety inspections, managing delivery logistics, and ensuring accurate paperwork processing.
The position offers competitive compensation with a component pay of up to $3,600 bi-weekly, along with monthly and annual bonuses. Drivers benefit from a structured 4-day work week, starting early at 5:00 AM, providing a balanced work-life schedule. Core-Mark supports a culture that emphasizes safety, respect, and recognition, providing a safe and inclusive work environment where employees are valued for their contributions. Benefits include health and wellness coverage from day one, participation in an employee stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, and paid time off, among others.
This role is well-suited for individuals with a commercial driving background who take pride in their work, are committed to safety and customer satisfaction, and thrive in a team-oriented environment. Core-Mark’s drivers perform a variety of essential tasks such as conducting rigorous safety checks on vehicles, verifying accurate loading and unloading of freight, maintaining accurate delivery records, and engaging professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues. The company encourages ongoing growth and offers opportunities for professional development within the organization. This position is critical to supporting America’s food distribution system and requires a dependable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused professional to ensure the success and reputation of Core-Mark in the convenience retail industry.
