The Driver, Hourly CDL-A at Core-Mark plays a pivotal role in the food distribution system, ensuring the timely and secure delivery of food and food-related products. This position requires a highly responsible individual who not only drives trucks but also represents the company's brand and values through direct interaction with customers. Primarily responsible for transporting goods via tractor trailers or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes, the role encompasses local delivery, shuttle services, overnight hauling, and drive and drop routes.

The driver must adhere strictly to Department of Transportation regulations and company safety guidelines, making daily safety inspections, managing proper load securing, and maintaining all required delivery paperwork with accuracy. The role demands excellent organizational and communication skills for liaising effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues to foster lasting professional relationships and ensure customer satisfaction. The driver also performs operational tasks like loading and unloading freight, verifying delivery orders, collecting payments when necessary, and conducting damage control checks to maintain product integrity.

Core-Mark’s CDL-A Drivers work a structured four-day workweek with a 5:00 AM start time and have the opportunity to earn competitive compensation that includes a component pay reaching up to $3,600 bi-weekly, along with eligibility for monthly and annual bonuses.
