The US Foods Driver position located in Salem, MO, is a full-time role typically scheduled from Monday to Saturday with shifts ranging from 3 AM to 6 AM or 6 PM to 8 PM, averaging 10 to 12 hours per shift. This role offers a competitive starting pay of $34.06 per hour with the potential to earn up to $35.20, depending on experience, skills, and location, plus overtime and incentives based on mileage, cases delivered, and stops made. Drivers may be required to travel occasionally and stay overnight at other domicile locations, with hotel accommodations and per diem provided. The responsibilities primarily involve safely operating trucks to deliver food products to customers on time, unloading goods efficiently using equipment such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks, verifying delivery accuracy, handling customer payments when necessary, and maintaining a professional demeanor to enhance customer relations. Additionally, drivers are expected to perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning of their equipment and comply with safety standards.

Job Requirements
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements
- Minimum six months commercial driving experience or three months in food/beverage delivery
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ lbs repeatedly during shifts
- Comfortable driving in inclement weather and making frequent stops
Job Qualifications
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience in any industry or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language, able to hold a conversation, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and enter information on reports and records
Job Duties
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
