The Delivery Driver role at Core-Mark is an essential position supporting America’s food supply chain by ensuring food and food-related products are delivered safely, timely, and in excellent condition. Delivery Drivers are responsible for operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate local, shuttle, overnight, and drive and drop routes. They ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations by performing comprehensive pre and post-trip inspections, verifying the secure loading and condition of freight, and safely transporting goods to customers. Drivers are meticulous in completing required paperwork accurately and legibly and must maintain open, professional communication with customers, vendors, and co-workers to resolve inquiries promptly and effectively.

This role goes beyond driving as drivers assist in unloading products into designated customer storage locations, perform damage control checks, and handle cash or check collections when required. Responsibilities include maintaining safety standards by reporting hazards, securing the tractor and trailer, and completing all necessary DOT logs and daily paperwork. Drivers also participate in general housekeeping of the tractor and loading dock areas to ensure cleanliness and operational efficiency. The position requires physical handling of freight using equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates to maneuver product cases that generally weigh between 10 to 35 pounds, sometimes reaching up to 60 to 90 pounds, depending on the location.
