Eichleay operates primarily in the Western United States and fosters a collaborative, multidisciplinary work environment that values executive-level visibility and influence, encouraging professional growth and leadership development among its teams.

Eichleay is currently seeking a Civil & Structural Engineering Manager to lead their team of talented engineers and designers in delivering complex industrial projects across the Western US. This fully remote position offers flexibility with options for hybrid or in-office work while providing a competitive salary ranging from $160,000 to $190,000 annually, dependent on skills, experience, and internal peer equity. Preference is given to candidates located near the Ferndale, WA or Billings, MT offices, as occasional in-person collaboration is expected. Candidates from other key operating states such as California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, and Washington are also welcome to apply.

The role of Civil & Structural Engineering Manager at Eichleay goes beyond traditional department or engineering management. This is a hands-on leadership position where the successful candidate will shape engineering excellence, develop future leaders, and influence business strategy while providing technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of industrial and infrastructure projects. This includes sectors like life sciences, energy, food and beverage, power, and advanced manufacturing. The manager will be a strategic partner to executive leadership to grow capabilities, expand client relationships, and build high-performing teams with an emphasis on quality, safety, and innovation.

Core responsibilities include leading and supervising a team of civil and structural engineers and designers, managing project assignments, meeting department utilization targets, and performing structural analysis and design for steel and concrete industrial structures, buildings, equipment foundations, and infrastructure systems. The manager will actively collaborate with other department leaders to drive business and capability growth, conduct team meetings for updates and feedback, and ensure quality control on projects with lessons learned communicated across the organization.

Further duties involve setting clear budget, schedule, and technical quality expectations for the team, overseeing performance management and succession planning, and managing resources across multiple locations. The manager will also be involved in recruiting top talent, collaborating closely with business development to enhance service offerings and evolve engineering capabilities to meet client demands. Frequent interaction with clients, vendors, contractors, and consultants to build lasting relationships will be a key component of this role.

Eichleay offers a dynamic and diverse working environment committed to leadership development, innovation, safety, and technical excellence. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineering leader passionate about mentoring, delivering high-quality engineering solutions, and making a lasting impact within a supportive and recognized organization.
