Job Description
Base is an innovative platform dedicated to fostering in-real-life social connections and vibrant community engagement. This unique establishment brings together accomplished individuals who have spent years building successful careers, nurturing families, and earning reputable standings in their respective fields. Unlike online social media or networking platforms, Base emphasizes meaningful, face-to-face interactions that fill the gaps left by busy schedules and digital distractions. The core of Base's offering is the gathering itself – a thoughtfully curated event where Members can enjoy genuine conversations and build lasting relationships with peers they truly want to know. Base operates as a dynamic social club with a mission to transform the way professionals engage with their local communities through a series of meticulously planned events that cater to diverse tastes and preferences.
The role of the City Host at Base is central to this mission. As the ambassador and facilitator of Base events in your city, you will be responsible for orchestrating a variety of social experiences, from intimate dinners and new-member orientations to lively seasonal events and expansive socials. Your presence and expertise will ensure every event is executed flawlessly, creating an atmosphere that feels welcoming, vibrant, and perfectly tailored to the community’s culture. This position is not just about event management; it is about creating a sense of belonging and energy that Members can look forward to regularly. You will arrive early to set up each venue with attention to detail, greet Members by name, skillfully manage the event flow, and close each gathering in a way that leaves a positive lasting impression. Your ability to make a venue feel like the right place to be, coupled with your confidence in leading groups ranging from 20 to 60 people, will directly influence the success and reputation of Base events. This role offers flexible scheduling primarily on weekends and weeknights, with compensation ranging from $25 to $300 per event based on size and responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for those passionate about hospitality, social connection, and community building. Your contribution will help strengthen the fabric of local social life and create memorable moments for a distinguished membership base.
