Known for fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture, Citizens is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and innovative banking solutions through its network of branches and digital platforms. The bank prioritizes community involvement and corporate responsibility, offering employees opportunities to engage in meaningful volunteer activities and support charitable organizations through matched donations. Citizens' commitment to its employees includes investing in career development, providing competitive compensation, and delivering a robust benefits package that promotes health, wellness, and work-life balance.

The Citizens Teller role is a vital position within the bank's branch network focused on creating outstanding customer experiences. Starting at $21 per hour and offering competitive pay ranging from $24.15 to $29.30 per hour depending on skills and location, this position involves greeting customers warmly and supporting their financial transactions. The teller is the frontline representative, helping customers navigate banking technology such as mobile apps and ATMs, while promoting banking products and services tailored to meet individual needs. Beyond routine transactions, Citizens Tellers are encouraged to deliver personalized advice, build long-term relationships with customers by actively listening and identifying financial needs, and referring clients to banking specialists for more complex services. The role demands adherence to strict financial policies, including cash handling, compliance with state and local regulations, and safeguarding customer information.

Employees in this role enjoy meaningful work, including helping customers with critical life decisions such as buying homes, starting businesses, and saving for education. The position offers flexibility with approximately 20 hours per week adjusting to branch hours that may include evenings and weekends. Citizens supports career advancement through ongoing training, coaching, and development resources, enabling team members to explore various career pathways within the bank. The bank's dedication to well-being and work-life balance is reflected in their comprehensive health plans, retirement benefits with corporate match, tuition assistance, and wellness programs. Employees also benefit from unique offerings like paid volunteer time off, student loan refinancing discounts, and a generous paid time off policy that exceeds legal requirements. As an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer, Citizens values diversity and inclusion, ensuring a respectful environment where all employees can thrive and bring their authentic selves to work. Successful candidates must complete a video interview assessment, showcasing their skills and personality, which expedites the hiring process.
