The open position at Chuze Fitness offers an hourly pay rate ranging from $18.00 to $19.37. This role is essential in crafting memorable experiences for both current members and prospective members. As a team member, your role involves actively engaging with visitors through warm greetings, enthusiastic interactions such as high fives, and excellent phone etiquette. You will guide new members through the sign-up process and tours of the gym, highlighting the benefits and amenities available. Maintaining the gym's cleanliness and presentation is also a crucial part of your daily responsibilities, ensuring that every guest encounters a spotless and welcoming environment.

Additionally, the role covers a variety of frontline tasks including point-of-sale transactions, handling billing inquiries, and addressing member concerns with professionalism and care. You will be expected to stay informed about the gym's programs, equipment, and membership options by regularly reviewing training materials through the Learning Management System. For locations featuring a smoothie bar, preparing and serving smoothies to meet customer satisfaction is part of your duties. Regular team meetings during working hours foster effective communication and continuous improvement within the team. Overall, this position requires a multitasking mindset, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality and fitness.

Job Requirements

  • Able to read, write, and speak clearly in English
  • Able to tour the gym by walking and climbing stairs
  • Able to bend, kneel, and perform repetitive arm movements
  • Able to stand for long periods
  • Able to operate computer systems
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Team-based mindset with the capacity to receive and deliver feedback
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in person and over the phone
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
  • Previous customer service experience (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Welcome, greet, and interact with all members, prospective members, and guests
  • Provide membership information and facilitate tours
  • Complete daily cleaning tasks and ensure gym presentation is always extraordinarily clean
  • Membership sign-ups, answering phones, point-of-sale transactions, and addressing member concerns
  • Assist with billing issues and disputes and escalate to leadership when needed
  • Regularly review and complete all training materials and updates in the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Maintain knowledge and assist members with all amenities, membership offerings, fitness programs, and equipment functions
  • Make and serve smoothies, if applicable, ensuring they meet customer specifications and maintaining quality standards
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled team meetings
