Delaware North Sportservice is a globally recognized hospitality and food service company with a rich history spanning over 100 years. At Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, home of Major League Baseball's Atlanta Braves, Delaware North Sportservice manages concessions, premium dining, and restaurant operations. The ballpark, which opened in 2016 and seats approximately 41,500 fans, is a state-of-the-art venue where culinary excellence and customer service are paramount. The company is currently seeking seasonal Cooks to join its team for the baseball season, which runs from March through October, with potential extensions during playoffs. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat
- Standing and walking for the entire length of the shift in moderate to high noise levels
- Manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids, and operate kitchen equipment
- Exposed to variable temperatures
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house foodservice position
- Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
- Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements
Job Duties
- Prepare food to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly, the freshness and quality of all menu items, and packages all products to proper specifications
- Keep workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
- Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory in accordance with guidelines
