Running Aces is currently seeking enthusiastic, personable individuals to join their team as Chip Runners / Podium Hosts. This is a part-time role ideal for those interested in becoming part of the fast-paced, dynamic gaming industry with flexible scheduling options, including weekend and holiday shifts. As a Chip Runner / Podium Host, team members play a crucial role in maintaining a seamless and enjoyable experience for cardroom players. Responsibilities include assisting players with seating, running chips efficiently between tables, supporting promotions, and ensuring the poker floor remains organized and welcoming. This role offers the unique opportunity to work closely with floor personnel and the poker management team to coordinate operations smoothly.

The position demands excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Candidates are expected to provide courteous, prompt, and accurate service while upholding the friendly, congenial atmosphere that Running Aces is known for. Practical knowledge of card club tournaments and promotions is beneficial, and the ability to meet attendance expectations, adhere to regulatory and casino policies, and maintain cleanliness and safety is essential. New hires will undergo a background check and must obtain a Minnesota Racing license prior to employment. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues within peripheral vision
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds and air quality
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a Minnesota Racing license
  • Part-time position
  • Must be present onsite for this position

Job Qualifications

  • Reliable, trustworthy, pleasant personality, able to handle pressure and/or difficult situations
  • Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when exchanging cash and casino chips
  • Must possess good manual dexterity for accuracy when handling chips and money
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers and guests in fast-paced environment
  • Must be fluent and literate in English

Job Duties

  • Provides prompt, accurate, and courteous service to customers
  • Provides a friendly, congenial, harmonious atmosphere for customers and fellow employees
  • Assist the floor personnel with running chips, seating players, helping with promotions and keeping serving tables clean
  • Works on the poker room floor in other capacities as directed by the Poker Manager
  • Cooperate with shift manager/poker manager/floor personnel and call for assistance for any concerns or decisions
  • Knowledge of all card club tournaments and promotions
  • Meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and casino policy and procedures
