The district offers a supportive work environment, emphasizing integrity, professionalism, and continuous development to improve both employee contribution and student success. The Child Nutrition Department at Brazosport ISD plays a critical role in ensuring that students receive nutritious meals that comply with federal and state guidelines. This department manages meal programs such as the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), and others, providing healthy food options to students while maintaining rigorous safety and compliance standards.
The role of Child Nutrition Accountability and Compliance Coordinator at Brazosport ISD is a full-time, nonexempt position reporting directly to the Director of Child Nutrition. Pay ranges from $58,400 to $84,038 annually and reflects an important leadership and operational capacity within the department. This position involves assisting the Director in multiple areas of the nutrition services department, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and supporting both daily operational and administrative tasks. The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing compliance with federal and state nutrition program regulations, supervising operational processes, coordinating training and inservice programs for staff, and ensuring that all aspects of food service within the district meet quality and safety standards. This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and integrity of child nutrition programs at all campuses.
The Coordinator will engage in hands-on supervision during meal hours, providing visibility and addressing needs of students, customers, and employees. The position also includes payroll and personnel time record management, managing technology used in food service operations, and coordinating the district's Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and concession stand operations.
This position requires a strong blend of supervisory experience, knowledge of food service operations, program compliance, and administrative skills. It allows for significant impact on the quality of food service delivery across the district, supporting student health and well-being.
