The Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Restaurant Division at Corky’s BBQ is a pivotal role designed for a seasoned restaurant executive with extensive multi-unit leadership experience in high-volume operations. This executive position involves steering the entire restaurant operations and growth strategy to new levels of success while preserving the culture and quality standards that have defined Corky’s for decades. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will serve as a senior operational leader responsible for driving performance, enhancing profitability, developing talent, and overseeing operational excellence across all locations.
This role transcends traditional operational duties and represents an opportunity to strategically shape the future trajectory of Corky’s BBQ. Ideal candidates are strategic thinkers, culture builders, and hands-on operators. Their expertise in opening and scaling restaurant locations will support Corky’s ambitious expansion into new markets and growth initiatives. Responsibilities span from overseeing financial performance, managing day-to-day restaurant operations, leading new restaurant openings, coaching and mentoring leadership teams, to spearheading operational infrastructure development necessary to sustain a large multi-unit restaurant organization.

This role is based in Memphis, Tennessee, and requires frequent travel. Job Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred
- 15+ years restaurant operations leadership experience
- 7+ years in multi-unit senior leadership roles
- proven multi-unit operational management experience
- strong financial and analytical skills
- experience with new restaurant openings and expansions
- excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- ability to travel frequently between locations
- strategic thinker with problem-solving capabilities

Job Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive restaurant operations leadership experience
- 7+ years in senior multi-unit leadership roles
- experience managing multiple high-volume restaurant locations
- proven success leading senior leaders such as general managers and regional directors
- strong financial and business acumen
- demonstrated success improving profitability and operational performance
- proven track record building high-performing leadership teams
- experience creating systems and infrastructure supporting growth
- multiple new restaurant openings preferred
- experience in regional or national restaurant expansion preferred
- background in casual dining, fast casual, barbecue, or hospitality-driven concepts preferred
- experience overseeing varied sales channels including drive-thru and catering preferred
- multi-state operational leadership experience preferred
- experience leading rapid growth preferred
Job Duties

- drive improvements in service speed, accuracy, labor productivity, and guest satisfaction
