The hiring establishment is a hospitality company committed to excellence in guest services and maintaining sustainable operations across hotel properties. As a leader in the hospitality industry, this company focuses on creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests while upholding high standards in maintenance and facility management. Operating multiple hotel properties, the company emphasizes environmentally responsible practices, guest satisfaction, and robust operational management to ensure a superior guest experience.
This particular role is a General and Preventative Maintenance Manager position offered with a competitive hourly compensation range of $20.00 to $25.00. This role is pivotal in managing all general and preventative maintenance functions across the hotel structure to maintain guest service quality and sustainability standards. The maintenance manager is entrusted with overseeing both the routine and technical maintenance tasks, ensuring that all hotel facilities are in optimal condition.
The successful candidate will manage and coordinate maintenance associates, drive compliance with service contracts, and ensure adherence to all applicable codes and safety standards. You will also be responsible for project management related to property improvement plans, providing timely progress reports, and managing vendor relationships for bidding, contracts, and delivery of services. Your role involves hands-on technical repairs, including sheetrock repair, painting, furniture refinishing, and handling electrical and plumbing fixture replacements.
The position requires a robust technical skill set, including troubleshooting kitchen equipment, repairing heating and cooling pumps, and installing and programming televisions. Preventative maintenance is a significant part of your duties, requiring you to maintain accurate records of all scheduled and completed maintenance and ensure life safety systems operate flawlessly. Compliance and safety are paramount, necessitating a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal codes, as well as OSHA standards and MSDS guidelines.
This role offers career growth opportunities, with a clear progression path from Area Chief Engineer to Regional Director of Engineering. The company encourages leadership development, providing you with the chance to train, coach, and support your maintenance team, ensuring alignment with brand standards and company core values. The work environment is dynamic and may involve varied schedules, including weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts, requiring physical stamina and the ability to manage multiple maintenance and operational tasks efficiently.
The company values its employees and supports them with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401k company match, and additional perks such as free basic life insurance, travel discounts, commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, educational opportunities, and technology reimbursements. This role is ideal for candidates with previous supervisory experience in engineering or maintenance, HVAC certification, and a commitment to delivering excellent guest service through effective maintenance management. The company culture embodies the principles of capability, service-oriented heart, excellence, agility, and ownership, making it a great place to grow your career and make a significant impact on guest experiences and hotel sustainability.
