Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years cooking experience preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • ability to stand and move intermittently throughout the shift
  • must meet health and safety standards set by the facility
  • must communicate effectively in English
  • must not pose a safety risk to others
  • able to follow kitchen hygiene and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
  • must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day
  • must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility
  • must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state or local law
  • 5 years cooking experience, preferred
  • training available

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment including all supplies and equipment
  • adhere to the work schedule
  • assist other kitchen staff with meal preparation
  • serve residents and their guests in a friendly, timely and courteous manner
  • assist in cleaning the dining rooms following meal service
  • prep materials for the next shift
  • wash dishes
  • assist with special events within the facility
  • prepare special orders from residents and their guests
