The role of Chef/Cook at Eagle Point Senior Living is an integral position requiring a compassionate individual with passion and dedication towards enhancing the daily experiences of senior residents through nutritional and delicious meal preparation. This part-time position, with shifts primarily focusing on rotating weekends and holidays, offers a competitive wage ranging from $17.50 to $22.50 per hour, based on experience. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cooking experience, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and dietary instructions
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work part-time, including weekends and holidays
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency including email
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a senior living setting is preferred
- Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees
- Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures
- Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils
- Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy
- Ensure proper storage for food and supplies
- Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures
