Job Requirements
- Must have A.S. degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in culinary or kitchen management
- Ability to assist with cost control and menu planning
- Experience producing and executing catering events
- Familiarity with culinary programs and marketing initiatives
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications and internet
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
Job Qualifications
- A.S. or equivalent experience
- Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
- Catering experience is a plus
- Experience with high volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable
- Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focused on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, e-mail, and the Internet
- ServSafe certification is highly desirable
- Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
- Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- Produce and execute catering events
- Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
- Supervise hourly kitchen associates and support their development
- Oversee preparation and cooking of various food items
- Collaborate with Executive Chef to develop daily menu items and garnishments
