Job Requirements
- Must have A.S. degree or equivalent experience
- prior culinary or kitchen management experience
- knowledge of catering operations
- experience in high volume foodservice environments
- understanding of institutional and batch cooking methods
- strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and cost control
- proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office suite
- must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
- ability to supervise a team and work collaboratively
Job Qualifications
- A.S. degree or equivalent experience in culinary arts
- progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- catering experience
- experience with high-volume, complex foodservice operations
- institutional and batch cooking knowledge
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation
- proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and Internet
- willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account
- assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- produce and execute catering events
- roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
- supervise hourly kitchen associates
- develop daily menu items and oversee their preparation and garnishment
- ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
