The Chef Runner role at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is a dynamic and essential position within the outlet staff team. The primary function of this position is to support kitchen operations by assisting with the setup and preparation needed for daily business activities. This includes maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, managing stock and inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of food supplies from the warehouse to various outlets. The Chef Runner plays a crucial role in helping the chefs and kitchen staff maintain organized and efficient kitchen areas by rotating products and adhering to the FIFO (First In, First Out) method. This position demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to communicate effectively in English to meet production and safety requirements.
The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, often under minimal supervision. This individual must be capable of managing multiple assignments and interruptions with good judgment and initiative. Physical demands include the ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand and move throughout the property, and perform duties in varying temperature conditions. Job Duties
- Deliver food supplies from the warehouse to the outlet
- pick up items from support kitchens and deliver to outlets
- assist chef of the rooms with organization of the kitchen areas by rotating product and ensuring the use of FIFO
- assist the outlet staff set up and prepare for business
- assist with the cleanliness and sanitation of the outlet
- maintain stock and inventory
