Loews Coronado Bay Resort is a distinguished waterfront retreat located near San Diego's most popular attractions and the scenic Pacific Ocean. The resort spans a sprawling 15-acre peninsula offering breathtaking bay views, complemented by 440 luxurious rooms and suites, a serene spa, ample recreational options, and an impressive 70,000 square feet of versatile meeting space. This picturesque setting provides an exceptional ambiance for guests seeking relaxation, adventure, or event hosting in one of Southern California's most prestigious locations.
The Loews Hotels & Co brand, established in 1960, is renowned for operating iconic hotels and resorts throughout the United States. At Loews Coronado Bay Resort, the commitment to creating memorable guest experiences is paramount. The resort values diversity, growth, and belonging, fostering an environment where every team member feels valued regardless of age, race, gender identity, veteran or disability status, and more. Career opportunities range broadly, from guest services to culinary, finance to information technology, each role geared towards creating meaningful and impactful contributions.
Currently, the resort is seeking a passionate and innovative Restaurant Chef who will elevate the culinary offerings to new heights. This role requires an individual with a true culinary vision—someone who views food as an art form and delights in crafting dishes that inspire and impress. As the culinary leader, the Restaurant Chef will play a crucial role in marrying creativity with operational excellence, ensuring a smooth kitchen operation that consistently delivers exceptional quality and sophisticated dining experiences. This leadership position demands expertise not only in menu innovation but also in mentorship and team development, fostering a kitchen culture of collaboration and high standards.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be adept at keeping cool under pressure. They will be tuned into emerging culinary trends and global flavors, infusing fresh ideas into the menus to delight a diverse and discerning clientele. The role includes direct oversight of kitchen operations, food safety compliance, cost management, and guest interaction when appropriate. This position offers a salary range of $80,300 to $100,400, reflecting the high level of responsibility and expertise required.
With benefits that include competitive health and wellness packages, paid time off, training and development programs, pet insurance, tuition reimbursement, and significant employee discounts alongside community volunteer opportunities, Loews Coronado Bay Resort fosters a rewarding work environment where team members can thrive and grow their careers. Veterans and military spouses are especially encouraged to apply, highlighting the resort's commitment to inclusion and support for all members of the workforce. Joining Loews Coronado Bay Resort means stepping into a role that harmonizes culinary artistry with strategic leadership in one of California's most scenic and sophisticated hospitality settings.
