Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of relevant culinary management experience
- Proficient in inventory management and purchasing
- Ability to manage profit and loss responsibility
- Passion for sustainability and local food sourcing
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of HACCP
- Minimum three years culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant settings
- Strong knowledge of inventory and purchasing controls
- Extensive understanding of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, and presentation
- Experience with exposition cooking
- Knowledge of profit and loss accountability
- ServSafe certification is a plus
Job Duties
- Manage all aspects of culinary and food service operations including inventory, ordering, and receiving
- Develop menus with a focus on cost control and sourcing local food products
- Implement and maintain food safety standards such as HACCP
- Oversee food production quality, presentation, and sanitation
- Monitor and control food costs and purchasing activities
- Lead and train culinary staff to ensure high performance and adherence to operational standards
- Maintain knowledge of food and catering trends relevant to contract foodservice
