Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3 years experience in a culinary leadership role
  • certification in food safety and handling
  • ability to work full-time onsite
  • strong understanding of nutrition and dietary restrictions
  • excellent organizational skills
  • ability to work under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • proven experience as a chef manager or similar role
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene
  • ability to develop creative and healthy menus
  • excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • culinary degree or relevant certification preferred

Job Duties

  • oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation and cooking
  • manage and lead kitchen staff ensuring high performance and adherence to standards
  • develop and plan nutritious menus accommodating dietary needs
  • ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met and maintained
  • manage food inventory, ordering, and budget allocation to minimize waste and control costs
  • train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen team members to foster a productive work environment
  • liaise with school administrators and external suppliers for smooth operational flow
