The role of Chef Manager at Creative Dining Services, based at MSUFCU in Lansing, Michigan, is a vital leadership position within a professional corporate dining service environment. Job Duties

  • Direct key aspects of food production such as menu development, purchasing, storage, preparation, portion control, inventory, and record keeping
  • Support and manage high-end catering events from planning through execution and delivery
  • Train, develop, and support employees to promote productivity, teamwork, accountability, and morale
  • Maintain personnel evaluation systems compliant with company policy and legal requirements
  • Monitor scheduling, timekeeping, wage structure, and benefits processes
  • Ensure compliance with health codes, safety standards, and quality assurance guidelines
  • Follow purchasing policies for menu planning, receiving, storage, and inventory control
  • Support merchandising, marketing, catering, and customer engagement efforts
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, customers, team members, vendors, and community
