The Chef Manager role at Creative Dining Services is a leadership position that requires a blend of culinary expertise, operational management, and team leadership. As the head of the dining services operation, the Chef Manager ensures the client’s expectations are not only met but exceeded by adapting to market trends and customer demands. This role requires strategic planning and organizational skills to maintain high customer satisfaction consistently and uphold positive public relations, which in turn supports client retention. The Chef Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining stringent quality standards throughout the food service operation, ensuring compliance with health codes and quality assurance programs such as C.L.E.A.N.Works!, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
In addition to quality management, this role emphasizes employee development and team collaboration. The Chef Manager trains and mentors staff to maximize productivity and morale while managing employment processes including scheduling, timekeeping, wage structure, and benefits in line with company policies and legal requirements. The role also requires oversight of purchasing policies and menu planning to optimize resources while adhering to quality specifications and sustainability standards. - two years of supervisory experience
