The full-time Chef position at the Michelin Greenville location in Greenville, South Carolina, offers an exciting opportunity to lead kitchen operations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm, providing a stable work schedule with competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $21.50 per hour. As a key member of the culinary team, the Chef will direct, coordinate, and oversee all food production activities while ensuring compliance with sanitation and food safety standards. This leadership role requires prior culinary experience and the ability to manage and support kitchen associates effectively.

In this position, the Chef will be responsible for supervising cooks and food-service associates, managing scheduling and payroll, training staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. The role also involves monitoring inventory, controlling food waste, and ensuring proper preparation and timely delivery of meals. The Chef will play a vital role in menu development and recipe selection, contributing to the culinary creativity and operational efficiency of the kitchen. Job Duties

  • Directs and coordinates kitchen, food production, and food-service associates
  • Supervises cooks and other associates engaged in preparing, cooking, and serving food
  • Ensures all food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are met
  • Manages interviews, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for hourly kitchen associates
  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes
  • Serves meals or prepares food for delivery
  • Ensures proper food presentation, quality, portion control, and serving temperatures
  • Tracks food use, waste, and consumption for requisition or purchasing
  • Receives and inspects product and supplies for quality and inventory control
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, utensils, and workstation cleanliness
  • Keeps display equipment clean during meal service
  • Assists in selecting and developing recipes and menus
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
