We are currently hiring immediately for a full-time Chef position to join our campus dining team. This role operates Tuesday through Saturday with hours that may vary, providing a dynamic and varied work schedule. The Chef will be an integral part of the kitchen operation, responsible for directing, coordinating, and evaluating kitchen and food production activities. This position offers competitive pay ranging from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour, reflecting the value we place on skilled culinary professionals. The role involves supervising food preparation staff, ensuring all food handling and sanitation standards are meticulously followed, and maintaining superior quality and presentation in all dishes served.
The Chef will actively participate in food preparation and cooking, oversee meal service, and manage inventory and supplies to optimize kitchen operations. Emphasis is placed on maintaining proper portion control, temperature, and presentation standards to ensure excellent customer satisfaction. This position requires leadership abilities to manage kitchen associates, including interviewing, training, scheduling, payroll, and performance reviews. Additionally, the Chef will assist with menu development and recipe selection to provide diverse and appealing meal options.
