Job Duties
- Oversee the food preparation process
- create recipes and select items for specials and the "Grab & Go" case
- maintain attractive prepared foods displays
- ensure food quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation meet city market standards
- maintain high productivity levels and keep kitchen schedules within budget
- hire and schedule bakery, kitchen and line staff members
- control inventory
- create specials and train line prep and line cooks
- seasonally assist in bakery and pastry
- purchase food and stock
- train staff on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques
- ensure company standards are upheld
- manage kitchen cleaning schedules, food disposal, and sanitary compliance
- control food cost, waste and manage employee hours
