Job Duties

  • Oversee the food preparation process
  • create recipes and select items for specials and the "Grab & Go" case
  • maintain attractive prepared foods displays
  • ensure food quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation meet city market standards
  • maintain high productivity levels and keep kitchen schedules within budget
  • hire and schedule bakery, kitchen and line staff members
  • control inventory
  • create specials and train line prep and line cooks
  • seasonally assist in bakery and pastry
  • purchase food and stock
  • train staff on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques
  • ensure company standards are upheld
  • manage kitchen cleaning schedules, food disposal, and sanitary compliance
  • control food cost, waste and manage employee hours
