About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Kitchen Supervisor to join our culinary team. The Kitchen Supervisor will play a vital role in supporting the overall operation of the culinary department. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs, this individual is responsible for managing the kitchen operations in their absence, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and consistency are maintained at all times. The role involves partnering closely with Food and Beverage management to efficiently execute orders and guarantee a superior dining experience for our hotel guests.
The Kitchen Supervisor must be a leader who can manage schedules, oversee inventory, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen. This person will also assist with food preparation and plating, control food costs, and maintain positive working relationships with culinary staff across various outlets and banquet operations. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude are essential traits needed to succeed in this fast-paced role.

Job Requirements
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Food Handlers Certification within 30 days
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to ensure efficient and effective operation of food production outlets
- Ability to update and maintain inventory
- Ability to report maintenance or security problems promptly
- Ability to collaborate with culinary outlets and banquet operations
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and promote a friendly work environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 plus years of hotel, resort or restaurant experience in a fast paced culinary environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including AM, PM, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for at least 8 hours per shift
- Proficiency in using standard computer applications such as Excel, Word and Email
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Reliable means of transportation and communication
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write and perform daily prep lists and par sheets
- Self-motivated with ability to work under limited supervision
- Passion for the culinary profession
- Ability to meet Omni Hotels and Resorts quality and performance standards
Job Duties
- Control the quality and consistency of all food served
- Create and adjust work schedules according to workloads and occupancy
- Order and receive ingredients and culinary supplies
- Consistently conduct temperature and quality control checks
- Maintain cleanliness of all food preparation and production areas
- Conduct month end inventory of all products
- Ensure work areas are set at least 15 minutes prior to service
