Job Requirements

  • Passionate about food with 3-5 years of culinary work experience
  • Flexible and willing to work in a 24-hour operational environment
  • Ability to lead a diverse kitchen team
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree is preferred but not mandatory

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar culinary role
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in culinary arts or related field is a plus
  • Proven leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and culinary techniques
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Track record of effective team management and guest engagement
  • Experience with financial oversight and cost control

Job Duties

  • Lead and oversee all culinary operations at Watr Restaurant
  • Ensure the highest quality and consistency of all dishes served
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to optimize performance and guest satisfaction
  • Manage inventory, food costs, and financial performance of the kitchen
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to build a cohesive and skilled team
  • Communicate effectively with team members and restaurant management
