The Chef de Cuisine role at Aramark is a pivotal leadership position stationed at the Seattle Convention Center in Seattle, Washington. This role comes with a competitive salary range from $82,000 to $88,000 annually. The Chef de Cuisine is entrusted with the full spectrum of culinary supervision and leadership, overseeing kitchen operations to ensure high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are consistently met. As the lead culinary person, the Chef de Cuisine trains and guides kitchen personnel, manages food procurement and inventory, standardizes recipes to maintain consistency, and establishes menu pricing strategies. Additionally, this role includes responsibility for ensuring proper operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment, enforcing kitchen safety and sanitation protocols, and providing oversight during special catering events. The Chef de Cuisine may also be called upon to offer culinary instruction and demonstrate cooking techniques to foster skill development within the team.

Job Requirements

  • Requires at least 2-3 years in a related position
  • requires at least 2-3 years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • requires experiential knowledge of management of people and or problems
  • requires verbal, reading, and written communication skills
  • complete Washington State Food Handlers, ServSafe Manager, and Alcohol Service Certifications as required

Job Duties

  • ensures proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensures proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • oversees special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrate culinary techniques
