Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or secondary qualification or equivalent
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt standards
  • Ability to plan and manage kitchen operations and staff
  • Ability to monitor food safety and sanitation compliance
  • Strong budgeting and cost control skills
  • Must be physically able to work in extreme kitchen temperatures
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards
  • Ability to create and implement menus within corporate guidelines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage a team effectively

Job Duties

  • Plan and manage kitchen staff in procurement, production, preparation and presentation of food
  • Recommend menu changes and manage food and labor costs within budget constraints
  • Hire, train, develop, coach and counsel kitchen employees
  • Monitor and control kitchen maintenance and sanitation to meet safety standards
  • Develop, recommend, implement and manage department budget
  • Coordinate banquet event orders with catering staff to meet customer expectations
  • Prepare food according to standard recipes and company standards
