Job Requirements
- High school diploma or secondary qualification
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand primary workplace language
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computational ability
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Physical ability to perform culinary techniques including cutting, cooking, plate presentation and safety
- Ability to work in extreme kitchen temperatures
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to handle kitchen machinery safely
- Capability to stand and exert mobility for up to 4 hours
- Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow emergency procedures and maintain safety and security
- Willingness to accept critical feedback and engage in continuous improvement
- Ability to maintain open communication and team collaboration
Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Skilled in menu planning and budget management
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage banquet functions
- Proficient in culinary techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Ability to develop and coach kitchen staff
- Basic math and computational skills
Job Duties
- Plan and manage kitchen staff in procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food
- Manage human resources in the kitchen including hiring, training, coaching and counseling staff
- Plan and manage procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food safely and cost-effectively
- Monitor and control maintenance and sanitation of kitchen and related areas to ensure safety and compliance
- Develop and manage departmental budget, analyze and control labor and food costs
- Develop and implement menus within corporate guidelines to improve revenue and quality
- Analyze banquet event orders and coordinate functions with catering staff to meet customer expectations
- Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and company standards
- Visually inspect, select and use only high-quality food items
- Maintain refrigeration, equipment and storage areas in compliance with health regulations
- Participate in guest relations and proactive concern resolution
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Maintain effective communication with departments
- Perform other assignments and special projects as directed
