Job Requirements
- 5+ years of culinary experience
- Minimum 3 years of on-the-job management experience
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Experience in high-volume restaurant or similar settings such as catering or banquets
- Full knowledge of sanitation and foodborne illness standards
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain
- Ability to train staff in food preparation
- Experience in coordinating multiple kitchen production areas
- Proven leadership and team-building skills

- Strong understanding of dietary restrictions
- Competence in menu writing, ordering, labor and cost control preferred
- ACF Chef de Cuisine certification preferred
Job Duties
- Direct and supervise all Sous Chefs and cooks in kitchen production
- Coordinate menus, purchasing, and distribution of labor with Sous Chefs
- Manage dietary restrictions including allergies and special diets
- Act as primary chef for VIP catering events and interact with VIP customers
- Create allergen-friendly menus and adapt recipes
- Conduct daily staff evaluations and participate in staff improvement plans
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards
- Maintain CDS standards and manage kitchen operations
- Cultivate a positive and productive workplace environment
- Assist with menu direction, customer needs, operational performance, and new program development
